I ordered a really cute hand-painted transfer online from America for my laptop. I just received it in the post after a two week wait. As a Disney obsessive it seemed perfect - well if the shoe fits! What I love most about the transfer is how detailed and colorful it is. It is like Snow White just jumped off the screen with the apple alight in her hands. Additionally, It is the perfect size for the macbook and adds a bit of magic to my equipment. Check it out for yourself!
We all need a bit of disney in our lives - and for the modern woman 'mac decals' are the way to go!
Irish fashionistas are very excited for H&M’s Autumn campaign featuring Lana Del Rey — Photos of the siren looking ready for autumn surfaced with the stunning Vogue Italia cover girl posing in thick knit cardigans, jumpers, dresses and coats. There will also feature a short film starring Lana Del Rey for the fashion line, which will include her cover of “Blue Velvet”. The songstress may love slipping in to her blue jeans BUT we’ll be seeing her on buses and appearing in glossy magazines wearing the new range inspired by her sixties glam personal style.
“H&M confirmed that Del Rey will indeed be the global face of H&M’s Autumn advertising — with a second campaign planned for winter.”
And judging by the 1960‘s vibe of the images which H&M tweeted that are now viral on fan sites it seems Del Rey has finally gained notoriety in the style stakes.
The one bag I love to have in my possession is the Lana Del Rey Mulberry Bag. This Mulberry Bag will be iconic, in my opinion it already knocks the 'Alexa' off the shelves. Sienna Miller was one of the first celebrities in line to grab this coveted, yet practical arm candy. Mulberry creative director Emma Hill first met the starlet last year and was enticed by her unique, enchanting voice. Aren't we all? Love or hate her this beauty is making her mark. She has famously said she wants her life 'to be as beautiful as a work of art.' A consummate lover of Mulberry and brand ambassador Del Rey has said:
"Mulberry hasn't jumped on the trend bandwagon and it has a good mix of glamour, this collection is gorgeous."
It is effortlessly chic. As a handbag connoisseur I was intrigued to watch how this masterpiece was made... Check out this video Mulberry put up on youtube today called 'Del Rey: The Making of a Mulberry Icon'
I have joined the writing panel for fashion.ie! I am very happy to be writing for such a great original site. My first article is based on my interview with Irish street wear designer Lizzie Fitzpatrick who modelled her range for me. Needless to say, I was very impressed.

My favorite song from The Cure is 'Friday I'm in Love' a very iconic tune:

Me and my boyfriend Darren went to the Leopardstown Races on the 16th of August. I had never been to the Races before but I had so much fun selecting an outfit and dolling up my hair and make-up for the occasion! This is the outfit I wore to the Leopardstown races. I was really excited to dress up ladylike. I teamed a white backless lace vintage dress, with vintage gloves a statement black and gold Sonia Rykiel jacket, detailed headpiece and caved platform heels. I won a whole 12 euro at the races! I placed a bet on 'King of Dudes'. I had a great time as the Saw Doctors played on site and my winnings bought me an icy mojito! Most of the style at the event was clinging to the last threads of Summer. I had a great time and will definitely be back next year. Although next time I will enter the Ladies Day competition!
My blog Lipstick Gossip has gotten 13 nominations for the Blog Awards Ireland. I found out this news just before I got the plane home from Ibiza and was so excited. In a few short hours I am going on a holiday to Ibiza. My suitcase is packed and the contents resemble a rainbow, I have the most random selection of clothes and heels, I am preened within an inch of my life and I am so excited I cannot sleep. Maybe I should get out more?
Today I did some pre-holiday prep - I pampered myself. I got my eyebrows waxed and tinted at 'The Brow Boutique' in Jervis. The staff were really nice and the result is that I have very shapely, darker and pronounced eyebrows framing my face. Which is what I wanted opposed to my usual blonde caterpillars. I had my eyelashes tinted black at 'Boston Belles' (also in the Jervis Centre) and I am very pleased with the result as it will help me go a little eau-natural on holidays as opposed to lashing on fifty layers of mascara. Plus as an added bonus, eyelash tinting seems to open your eyes more.
Between my eyebrow appointment in 'The Brow Boutique' and eyelash tint 'Boston Belles' I had some time to kill... So I decided to do something I thought I would never actually do, but that I had payed lip service to the prospect of - I had a fish pedicure in Coral bay Jervis..
I know what you are thinking. That fish pedicures are strange and squeamish and I will be honest the initial feeling was bizarre when I was submerged ankle- deep in a tank with little fish all around me. I will give you a full review and short video clip in a week when I get back from Ibiza. I made a video convinced that knowing my luck I would drop it in the tank and the carnivore fish would eat it!!!! Truth be told, my feet are like silk and they look rejuvenated (but I feel violated) It was well worth a try out though. I would recommend it at least once. It is morbidly fascinating. And I was happy the fish weren't piranhas or anything. Scary movies ruin so many experiences but not this one!! :)
Anyway I am going to go get some sleep! Try out the third floor of the Jervis Center - that is where I got all my treatments done today! So handy and affordable.
