I featured in the Xpose Mag Style section!

I featured in the July issue of 'Xpose Magazine' that hit the shelves today! You can check my beachy look out in the 'How we wear it' section. I was photographed by the brilliant Richie | Photography! I am a huge fan of the magazine & I am very honoured to grace the style section.

"My favourite thing about summer time is the opportunity to wear bright vibrant colours, floaty fabrics like chiffon and embrace the heat we so badly crave all year. For my beach look I went for a chic sea blue beach kaftan with an eye-catching pattern teamed with decorative embellishment detail along the waist and neck line. Underneath I wore a white stretch body con and neon pink bandeau - this is a great way to embrace your curves but feel confident whether lying on the beach or heading out afterwards. The kaftan can hug your shape in a way that flatters you without feeling restrictive. It has a great cut that can be tapered and tied to make you feel like a beach goddess! I finished the look with some dangling gold chains, my oversized Victorias Secret beach bag and my trusty Urban Outfitters platform sandals. I picked them up last season and they are so versatile. They look cute with white skinny jeans or a geometric midi dress. The great thing about them is you get a height boost in a subtle stylish way."

My vibrant beachy look for the shoot

Styling with No Polka.com !

I styled Presenter Emma O' Farrell recently as she was covering Life Festival for IMTV. I went for a laid-back look from Irish fashion site No Polka.com. She exuded confidence in her festival gear as it was not only comfortable but also reflected her own personal style.

Emma O' Farrell

I think it is important when styling clients to ensure that you take their preferences in to account. When you wear an outfit with conviction and confidence you look at ease and therefore the clothes aren't wearing you - it's vice versa. I decided to go for No Polka.com in terms of the styling because they have some of the coolest festival wear for very competitive prices. You can get the quality & edge of the high street without emptying your bank account.

Emma looking great as pictured with the 'Hot Sprockets' far left & right she looks understated & festival ready @ Life.
No Polka.com have gorgeous midi dresses, crop tops, body cons, leggings, daisy duke shorts and much more. They are your one stop shop for cute festival wear.
'Behind the scenes' on a No Polka shoot of stock for the website
I have compiled a No Polka festival guide for all you savvy shoppers out there below. Emma looked so pretty with her french braid, hair roses (we halved a red flower crown), white 'Chicago 1973' top, dark leggings and combat jacket. If you want to steal her style - you can pick up a cool oversized combat style jacket for only €36 on No polka.com by clicking here. For a cool free falling 'Chicago 1973' sweat shirt priced at €18 like Emma's above in a crimson red you can click here With this look a leather skater skirt would look daring but funky you can pick one up here.

Alternatively if you would rather not bare your pins (Irish weather can be hideously unpredictable) you can rock out this look in dark leggings or discopants as pictured above which are very flattering on your silhouette. Especially with the 'Chicago 1973' oversized style sweatshirts. Check them out here. They are a steal @ only €20!

In house model Niamh Cullen looks festival ready in a chicago oversized tee & khaki leather + combat jacket
I love bowler hats and bright colourful boots! They can look adorable when teamed together at a festival. Both are currently available on the site.

'Clothes Encounter' Styling Miss Ireland - Rebecca Maguire for 'The Sun'.

I styled Assets model and reigning Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire for a shoot last week. It had a lolita vibe with a dab of the glamour from the seaside teamed with playful chic. The stores I pulled from were 'River Island' &' American Apparel'. There were flower crowns and bright colours. In some of the looks she was reminiscent of one of the infamous 'Sports Illustrated' models from the eighties. Her legs go on for miles! It is so exciting that we have a reigning Miss Ireland that is so high fashion.
Miss Ireland rocking a pair of ice-cream sunnies!
The Richie | Photography studio has lots of cool quirky backgrounds that really make the different wardrobe options pop. I love the straw bonnet against the red backdrop.

The Über- talent Make up artist at work - 'Make up by Aimee'

Pictured above 'Make up by Aimee' is changing up the model's look. The current Miss Ireland loves storming the runway but looks so at home in front of the camera. Rebecca brought along her crown and a lot of our magpie tendencies went in to overdrive. It is just so shiny!
Miss Ireland crown
I took some behind the scenes shots of the shoot in progress. One of the cutest looks on the model was the River Island neon paradise print crop top teamed with American Apparel velour high-waisted shorts.

Miss Ireland rocking a 'lolita' look!

To finish the look I used an elasticated coral crown beneath the back of the hair and placed it on her forehead. Her hair was then teased by hair stylist Edel Jones in to a beehive voluptuous shape at the crown. I love when models wear Great Lengths Hair Extensions. They look so natural and have great movement.

I am a huge obsessive of flower crowns. I have some really cool ones I have made to giveaway on my blog to celebrate 'Lipstick Gossip' reaching 100,000 reads. These flower hair accessories are the ultimate festival accessory for this season and exude 60's flower child chic. Rebecca towered in Christian Louboutins and was a dream to dress. She wore the white 'American Apparel' swimsuit like a glove. That is one of the main images that is splashed across the article in 'The Sun' newspaper today. I picked this swimsuit not just because of it's amazing high-leg shape but also the colour. Rebecca has a great fair skin tone that teams beautifully with white. She is not your quintessential Irish cailin - she has an exotic glam look about her but she can pull off this suit with style and grace.

Rebecca Maguire looks edgy and smouldering in this leopard print high waist bikini from American Apparel on Grafton street. The look is teamed with a pony necklace and python and nude studded Louboutins. I am a massive fan of American Apparel. Their items are high quality, and their separates mix and match like a dream whereas they also photograph really well. They have so many options from dance wear ballerina style to edgy varsity queen, they have a wide variety of S/S13 stock. You can check them out on facebook by clicking here

I love the Pacha range in River Island. I visited all the Pacha shops last year in Ibiza and picked up some gorgeous intricate embellished goods so it is brilliant to have attire like that available on our shores. There is great movement in the kaftan below - whether draped over a LBD or a sexy swimsuit it   brings a whole new dimension to an outfit.

This Pacha two piece pictured below is a two piece combo from the 'Pacha' for River Island range. It is a fantastic tailored piece with detail on the high waist bottoms that give it a stylish twist. I finished the look with Office skyscraper black heels and spiked gold chains.

Below on the left Rebecca rocks another River Island number that is a bang on trend neon and white structured body con that tapers to hug her shape. Below on the right the model stuns in the iconic American Apparel white swimsuit.

The shoot on the day had a very enthused team - celebrated photographer Richie Buttle of Richie Photography was at the helm assisted by Jason Ennis who filmed behind the scenes on the day. Edel Jones was the hairdresser for the photoshoot, make up artist Make up by Aimee showcased numerable make up looks on the model, from sultry smoky- eyed goddess to minimal high fashion looks. I was so delighted to be styling the shoot and I counted myself lucky to be involved with such a talented, fun team. The model Rebecca Maguire was radiant and lit up the studio with her vibrant personality. Truth be told the next Miss Ireland has rather large Louboutins to fill....

Clothes Encounter: Styling Lisa Nolan for 'The Sunday World'.

I have a lot of 'behind the scenes' styling posts going live very shortly. I have been working 24-7 keeping super busy which is brilliant. I have been working in radio, writing, presenting & styling so I haven't had enough time to blog all about it until now but I have lots of exciting news and upcoming projects! I look forward to posting more styling posts from press photoshoots in the coming days. I styled Lisa Nolan a while back for a racy lingerie and swimwear shoot that featured in 'The Sunday World' shot by ©Richie | Photography before she jetted off to the Mecca for Irelands hottest models - Marbella. All the looks I pulled for the shoot were from 'Ann Summers'. Seeking out items for shoots when it is sunny outside is the best. I love when it is a bright beautiful day, I've a hot coffee in hand while roaming around finding the perfect outfits and accessories to team together for a photoshoot. It can be really enjoyable to be a stylist. While pulling 'Ann Summers' attire I had to admire how great O' Connell Street looks in the sunshine!

My snapshot of O' Connell street
'Ann Summers' currently have a luxuriant selection of lacy flirtatious underwear sets. From deep plums and pinks to vibrant corals, to grecian sensuous swimwear - their Spring/Summer 2013 collection was brought to life by glamorous Irish model Lisa Nolan.

'Love Jewels x' have kindly offered to supply something glitzy for an upcoming 'Lipstick Gossip' giveaway which will mark my 100,000 readers.

The shoot commenced early morning in the penthouse in 'Krystle Nightclub'. The penthouse is very vintage and an ode to the 60's. It was bizarre to be there so early in the morning! But there was a luxuriant 'Mad Men' feel to the location. The swimwear and lingerie I chose exuded a summer fresh vibe but also had a plush sexy look against the luxuriant backdrop. It was my second time working with Lisa Nolan in the space of a fortnight and it was really fun.
