Same chic different day: What I've been up to! All my news & views.

Everything has been so manic lately I don’t know where to start! I have been super busy which obviously is a great thing - it just leaves me less time to blog. To me blogging is a really positive thing because I find in some cases you get to work on a really cool project or task but then it’s straight on to the next thing - so by looking back and writing about the experience you truly get to appreciate it. On my more challenging days I love looking back to the blog and reminisce about some of the really cool and exciting moments I have experienced over the past five years in the industry.

Over the past couple of months I was working predominantly on styling Madeline Mulqueen for the ‘Transformers 4: Age of Extinction’ global press tour which wrapped up recently in Tokyo. Madeline became a great friend as well as a client and we both really enjoyed working with different creatives to bring the vision of what we wanted to life. It was a massive honour to dress Madeline in an array of Irish Designers - some that are spectacular and up and coming and then others who are incredibly established. I haven't put all the shots up together before on my blog so here is my styling of Madeline for the tour in case you missed any of the looks:
Madeline wears Joanne Hynes in Brazil for T4 premiere
Madeline wears bespoke Geraldine O' Meara for the world premiere in Hong Kong
Madeline wears bespoke Zoe Carol in Berlin
Madeline wears the 'Gaia' dress by Colin Horgan in Beijing
Madeline shines in 'Louise Kennedy' in New York.
Madeline wears an orange 'Farrah' number from Starla Dress Rental for the Miami red carpet of Transformers 4

As well as using Irish designers I also used two Irish boutiques: Divine Boutique for the marbled blue AQ/AQ Dublin premiere dress, and the ‘Farrah’ dress from Starla Dress Rental for when Madeline rocked the red carpet in Miami which had the right vibe. As many of you know I am a big Starla fan. I have used their dresses for a lot of Sunday World Magazine cover shoots and also made my Starla Xpose debut earlier this Summer where I talked all about Debs season. You can catch the video here.

In other news - I will be giving some style advice, showcasing seasonal must haves and doing some trend forecasting which you can check out out on www.starla.ie over the coming weeks. We will be giving you the lowdown on all things autumnal.

In other news - for the 25 year anniversary of Fair City I was delighted to style Aisling O' Neill & Karl Shiels for a cover shoot for the Sunday World Magazine to mark the monumental occasion. Actress Aisling who plays Carol in the show wows in this Mango LBD which is just €49 from Clerys teamed with glam ankle strap pointed shoes from Buffalo Dublin. Karl who plays Robbie is decked out head to toe in River Island menswear. The shoot was photographed by celebrity photographer Evan Doherty & MUA was by the fab Make up by Aimee.

behind the scenes
My most recent styling work for the Sunday World magazine was styling Sky Sports presenter Rachel Wyse for a glamorous cover shoot and spread. Rachel was so much fun to style & is so nice! Both looks gracing the cover are from River Island & there are pieces from Harvey Nichols in Dundrum Town Centre , Starla Dress Rental and Sales & also top Irish designer Zoë Carol featured in the spread too.

I recently went to the Curragh for the Irish Champions Weekend with my friend Aoife Walsh. We had an absolute ball! We chatted all things Dracula with the lovely Victoria Smurfit, made some bets and ate the most beautiful food with prosecco in the 'Desert King' panoramic suite. I felt like a queen! Such an amazing day. I am still obsessed with Victoria's green Louise Kennedy number. On the day Aoife wore a stunning seasonal floral dress from Coast in House of Fraser in Dundrum. My purple futuristic print dress is from 'Almost Famous' in Clerys. Princess Palles kindly let us borrow some glam hats on the day. We were delighted and had great fun picking them to match our dresses!

Now that we are fully in the clutches of Autumn I will be posting all of the high street steals and AW14 launches on the blog over the next week. This will show what is available in a store near you in terms of clothes and accessories. This way you gals will be kitted out with bargain on trend buys for this season. I am working a lot at the moment it has been pretty crazy. I am working on Saturdays as a personal shopper in Dundrum which is super exciting! I love being part of the style team there. It is a fab service. If you would like to book in with me to find the perfect party dress or to shake up your wardrobe with some trendy warm outfits I am glad to help. To book in with me you can call 01 299 1700 or email customerservice@dundrum.ie & request me by name.

I am up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to head to Lusty Beg Island just off of Fermanagh! I will be reviewing the beautiful resort and all it has to offer. I'm excited for a mixed bag of clay pigeon shooting and spa treatments! I will also be posting instagram updates instagram & on twitter  #watchthisspace

Until then...
